Part 1: Ken Shamrock on How He Became "The World's Most Dangerous Man"
--------
UFC legend Ken Shamrock opened up about the harrowing experience of having a heart attack during his fight against Kazuyuki Fujita. Shamrock revealed that the heart attack was stress-induced, stemming from significant personal and professional pressures. At the time, Shamrock was dealing with a tumultuous divorce, his ex-wife's mental health issues, and the need to provide for his children. Shamrock described feeling unexplained physical weakness and seeing white flashes during the fight, despite not being struck at that moment. The physical manifestation of stress led to Shamrock later needing a stent, indicating the severity of his heart condition.
Shamrock also touched on other topics, dismissing rumors of a potential fight with Kurt Angle, which was never seriously considered due to medical clearance issues. Reflecting on the toughness often attributed to professional wrestlers like Kane, Shamrock emphasized the difference between wrestling and real fighting, pointing out that actual combat experience holds a different level of toughness.
