While the late rapper described his neighborhood as poverty-stricken and filled with crime, he pointed out the camaraderie among the neighbors. In an effort to take of his family and upgrade their living conditions, the Memphis native started hustling in his teens before being inspired by Boosie and C-Murder to pursue rap.
