NBA YoungBoy recently accepted a federal plea deal of 27 months for a gun charge, with his lawyers anticipating he could be home within a year due to time served. The charges emerged from a music video shoot in Baton Rouge where police found guns and money. YoungBoy was identified holding firearms in the footage, leading to his arrest. Discussing these developments, 1090 Jake stated that while the federal gun case is significant, it's not insurmountable. However, YoungBoy still faces a separate drug case in Utah. He’s currently dealing with 63 charges related to acquiring prescription drugs fraudulently. His legal team argues he is a drug user, not a dealer, and should be treated accordingly. The defense hints that the severity of the situation is being exaggerated to depict a larger criminal operation. Although theoretically facing up to 250 years, 1090 Jake suggests the outcome might be less severe, emphasizing the importance of distinguishing between drug use and trafficking.
