Johnny Mitchell shared his experience dealing with the legal system and life behind bars. Facing serious time, Mitchell was charged federally and pressured to cooperate with the authorities. Despite having a chance to potentially avoid jail time by cooperating with the feds, he chose to face the charges head-on, forfeiting over $1 million in cash and other assets. In jail for the first time, Mitchell recounted his initial altercation in the bathroom with a fellow inmate to establish respect in the harsh environment. Despite being unprepared, Mitchell survived a 45-second scuffle with the muscular inmate. Throughout eight months of fighting his case, Mitchell faced multiple confrontations, resisted joining racial gangs, and eventually negotiated his federal charges down to state charges, resulting in less severe consequences.
