Franzese firmly discredited the rumor that his father killed his own brother, labeling it a "ridiculous" fabrication. He clarified that of his father's three brothers, all passed away from natural causes. Michael emphasized his father's staunch adherence to mob principles, stating that even at the risk of a life sentence, Sonny Franzese never cooperated with authorities. According to Michael, his father's legacy in the mafia was more important to him than freedom or life itself. During the discussion, Michael also mentioned others in the mob, like Tony Salerno and "The Snake" Persico, who shared similar principles, opting for silence over cooperation even if it meant dying behind bars.
