In a candid interview, Freeway Ricky Ross, the former drug kingpin, revealed how his life could have dramatically transformed had he not been busted for drug dealing. Ross, known as a major figure in the cocaine trade during the 1980s, talked with Vlad about his diverse business ventures that included motels, a junkyard, a tire shop, and various real estate investments. Reflecting on his journey, Ross estimated that his real estate portfolio could have been worth around $150 million today had he managed to transition wholly into legal businesses.

Ross explained his strategy of using illicit profits to fund legitimate ventures as a way to eventually exit the illegal scene. Despite planning to transition fully to legal enterprises, his arrest curtailed these ambitions. Ross noted that his notoriety contributed to his downfall; unlike others who maintained a low profile, his operations caught widespread attention, culminating in legal troubles.
