While Ross and Williams never met in person, they corresponded through a mutual contact, Wendy Day. Day, known for her industry connections, facilitated communication between Ross and several individuals during his time in federal prison. Williams admitted to taking part in unsolved New Orleans murders involving the original Hot Boys crew, leading to the resolution of numerous cases and his release. Despite Williams' past, Ross remains non-judgmental, having interacted with various individuals within the prison system, some with violent backgrounds.
