Capone Lee opened up about the challenges he faced while transitioning from a life of crime to comedy. Having spent time in prison, Capone made ends meet as a home attendant and barber before pursuing his passion for stand-up. His natural talent for "snapping" on people led him to proclaim his future as a comedian while still in prison. A pivotal moment in his career came when he was booked for his first show at Columbia University, where he sold out not due to fame, but because "the whole hood" came to watch him fail. Despite expectations of failure, Capone triumphed, defying the initial skepticism he faced from peers and audiences. Early on, he struggled with the stigma of being a former street figure-turned-comedian, drawing comparisons to other unconventional comedians like Miss Pat and T.K. Kirkland.
