Capone Lee discussed his experiences working with Dame Dash on the films “Death of a Dynasty” and “Paper Soldiers.” Initially cast to portray Beanie Sigel’s character in “Paper Soldiers,” Capone revealed his initial disappointment when his role was altered. Dash reassigned him to a different part, ultimately providing Capone a chance to prove himself in a lead role. Despite the unexpected change, Dash's decision taught Capone a valuable lesson about adaptability and embracing every role to the fullest.
Capone also reflected on “Death of a Dynasty,” where he portrayed Dame Dash, and Rob Stapleton played Jay-Z. The film eerily mirrored real life, predicting the split within Roc-A-Fella Records. According to Lee, even during production, signs of separation were apparent, as Jay-Z often distanced himself from Dash’s film projects. This disconnect highlighted the growing tension, later culminating in the duo’s professional split.
