Lil Diesel recently discussed his brother's involvement in a notorious case involving corrupt New Orleans police officers extorting drug dealers during an operation infamously known as "Operation Shattered Shield" in 1994. According to the interview, Officer Len Davis, who was recorded without his knowledge, solicited Diesel's brother, believed to be a hitman, to murder a woman who had planned to report the officer’s misconduct. Davis’s conversations were wiretapped, and chillingly, the plot resulted in the woman being shot in the head. The evidence of Davis commenting "Rockabye baby" after the crime was used against him in court. Subsequently, Len Davis was sentenced to death, while Diesel's brother received the death penalty initially, which was later commuted to a life sentence due to findings of incompetency. Diesel reflects on the severity of the situation and admits to writing letters to his brother, yet they haven't met in person since the trial.
