In a candid interview, YSL Mondo delved into the complex dynamics between Young Thug and Lil Wayne, noting Young Thug perceived Wayne as standoffish. Mondo shared that Thug felt Wayne didn’t like him, citing instances when Wayne would ignore them, exacerbating Thug's feelings of being undervalued next to the rap icon. Mondo theorized that Wayne might have seen Thug as trying to mimic his style, especially since Thug adopted influences from Wayne in his music.
