Peter Chin, also known as Kid Jai, shared a gripping narrative of his life, chronicling his path from being recruited by Chinese gangs during grade school to becoming the leader of the notorious Ghost Shadows gang. Chin's tale begins in Hong Kong, where at age eight, he moved with his family to New York's Chinatown. His father, absent for most of his life, only reunited with the family upon their arrival in America. Chin's mother faced the daunting task of raising six children largely on her own, relying on modest support from his grandfather. Once in school, Chin found himself amidst two prominent Chinatown gangs—the Black Eagles and White Eagles. His early exposure to gang life carved a path that eventually led Chin into the criminal underbelly of New York, peaking with his involvement and leadership in the Ghost Shadows.
