Comedian Aries Spears opened up about his cinematic tastes and shared his thoughts on Denzel Washington's transformation as a villain in "Gladiator 2." Spears confessed he hadn't watched the original Gladiator film but appreciated its sequel, emphasizing the powerhouse performance by Denzel Washington. Although fascinated by Washington’s portrayal of villainous roles, Spears staunchly defended Denzel's dynamic acting range, countering claims that he delivers similar performances in every role. Spears passionately argued that Denzel brought unique nuances to each character, citing examples from "Malcolm X" to "Training Day." Interestingly, Spears mentioned a controversial scene that supposedly featured Washington kissing a male co-star in "Gladiator 2," later reportedly removed from the film. Spears acknowledged he had kissed a man on video but drew the line at going further, humorously noting it's something he wouldn't do.
