Part 12: Peter Chin on 35-Year Sentence, Locked Up w/ Guy Fisher, Joey Merlino & Sonny Franzese
Part 1: Peter Chin on Chinese Gangs Recruiting Him in Grade School, Ran Away from Dad's Abuse at 13

--------

Peter Chin, formerly aligned with the Asian street gang Ghost Shadows, discusses the decline of tongs, particularly following Uncle Benny's death in 1994. Describing them as "tigers without teeth," Chin highlights how RICO cases systematically dismantled many of these gangs. Reflecting on his own decision not to rejoin the Ghost Shadows after his release, Chin reveals a conscious choice to avoid senseless sacrifice.

Chin also shares fond memories from prison, including an encounter with Floyd Mayweather Sr., who sought permission to change the TV channel to watch his son's first professional fight on HBO. Despite the strict change-the-channel rules, Chin intervened, allowing Mayweather Sr. to watch the pivotal moment. After serving 20.5 years in prison, Chin adjusted to life outside, finding work as a driver at age 46. Transitioning to a legitimate lifestyle, he established a karaoke club in Queens, and was involved in developing a ten-story hotel in Long Island City.
