Atlanta rapper YFN Lucci has been released from prison just one year after being sentenced as part of a plea deal in a racketeering case.

In January 2024, YFN Lucci, real name Rayshawn Bennett, pleaded guilty to one count of violating Georgia’s Street Gang and Terrorism Prevention Act. He was sentenced to 20 years- 10 in prison and the remaining 10 on probation.

Last summer, Fulton District Attorney Fani Willis sent a letter to the State Board of Pardons and Paroles that supported his early release. Attorney Drew Findling told Channel 2′s Michael Seiden about the letter, stating, "The District Attorney of Fulton County did the unorthodox. That letter from the district attorney is a powerful punch and is really at the heart of the letter and supporting documents and the memorandum that we have shared with the parole board."

The Georgia Department of Corrections confirmed to 11 Alive that YFN Lucci was no longer in custody as of Friday (January 31) morning.
