Lil Yachty recently sat down with Shannon Sharpe, who asked the Atlanta native about his friendship with Drake. Shannon then asked Yachty if he was "gonna turn on [Drake]" like others have amid Drake's beef with Kendrick Lamar.

Yachty stated that Drake is his "brother," and he went on to share his thoughts on why people have turned on Drake. Yachty explained that he feels like it could have something to do with Drake's long-term success and he alluded to people targeting him for that. Yachty then added that he thinks Drake will be back on top once he makes another hit.

Elsewhere in the sit-down, Lil Yachty spoke about ghostwriting, and he admitted that he doesn't understand the hate in the hip-hop world.

Yachty stated, "It's stupid, though. You know, like, I think that it's a collaborative effort, it's music. No one is saying, 'Go make a movie by your f***ing self.' It's entertainment, right? Like, it takes a team to put together a record that you know and love. And I think that you are just, like, lost in the sauce if you don't like a record because you feel like someone else should've did it alone, you know? Or it should've been a hundred percent true, or all of the components in the story weren't authentic to that artist. What are you talking about?"
