Janelle Monae made her feelings known about Nelly performing at Trump's inauguration, as she told a crowd at a Grammys after-party in L.A. Sunday night that she's no longer rocking with Nelly.
Janelle was performing Nelly's hit "Hot in Herre" alongside of Anderson .Paak, when she stated, "I used to like Nelly ... but then he performed for Donald Trump. "F*** that n****. I don't give a f**k ... Nelly, you sold out. I used to think he was cool ... F*** you n****. Get a new attitude."
After his inaugural performance last month, Nelly spoke to CBS News' White House reporter Willie James Inman, stating, "I've been catching haters my whole career. I always try to think forward and I also try to trust in myself in the sense of when I truly believe that I’m doing what’s right and I truly believe I have a plan to help get things done."
Nelly has yet to respond to Janelle Monae.
