Attorney Tony Buzbee filed a lawsuit on behalf of a John Doe in New York on Monday (February 3), which accuses Diddy of assaulting an aspiring rapper and singer in 2015.
John Doe, who was 23 years old at the time of the incident, was scheduled to open for a popular music artist at a series of Los Angeles nightclubs, including QC's 20/20. Doe knew that Diddy would be at the showcase, and he was told that he could be offered a deal from Bad Boy if the performance went well.
After his performance, an after-party took place at the back of the club, where Doe allegedly witnessed well-known entertainers partaking in drugs. Doe was then handed a drink that he was told came from Diddy, and he soon realized that he had been drugged.
Doe then alleges that he was drifting in and out of consciousness, but he claims that he witnessed people at the party engaging in group sex. He adds that the participants "appeared either drugged, unconscious, or as if they were paid escorts." Doe then says that he slipped out of consciousness and awoke to Diddy groping him, and he believes that Diddy had performed oral sex on him.
Doe then says he tried to fight off Diddy but was told that if he didn't comply it would hurt his chances in the music industry. The man says that Diddy ordered him to have sex with a woman, but he pretended to need water and use the restroom, giving him a moment to slip out of the venue and escape.
Diddy's attorney responded to the lawsuit in a statement, "As we’ve said before, Mr. Combs cannot respond to every new publicity stunt, even in response to claims that are facially ridiculous or demonstrably false. Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone—man or woman, adult or minor."
