Ye's anticipated interview with Justin Laboy recently dropped, and Ye was asked about his thoughts on the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef.
Ye made it clear that Kendrick is a force in the rap world that many could not stand against. He explained, "“If you rap against Kendrick, you will lose. This man does this. You know on Street Fighter, you get like a Chun-Li, you get a certain kick, and no matter what, you can’t beat that thing."
Ye went on to state, "If you rap against Kendrick Lamar, it’s a difficult task, but perhaps there’s something — I’m a psycho genius so it could be…"
When Justin Laboy stated, "There you have it: do not rap against Kendrick Lamar," Kanye added, "Unless you’re a psycho genius like me."
Part of the interview surfaced online ahead of its release, where Ye shared his thoughts on Drake being done after his back-and-forth with Kendrick. Surprisingly, Kanye didn't count out Drake, but he said that Drake is done "for now." He added, "You can’t ever count out Steph Curry. That man might get 200 points in one song."
