Wendy Williams recently revealed that her son, Kevin Jr., might have been at the center of her being placed in a guardianship.
TMZ's Harvey Levin played a clip of his Tubi documentary, "Saving Wendy," where Williams explained the mishandling of her money, stating, "My son, he overstepped his boundaries in terms of me. He overstepped his boundaries and he was inappropriately using my money without telling me crap about it.”
She added, "Like, is he stealing from me? Look, all I know is that, in terms of what I’m dealing with, this is still going on, because that’s when my money got frozen at Wells Fargo, thank God. No more money stealing from my son and the other people.”
Wendy says she was placed in her guardianship after several, large withdrawals were made from her Wells Fargo account. In court documents obtained by TMZ, a judge commented on the situation in September, stating, "While Mr. Hunter, [her son, Kevin] apologized for past mistakes and inappropriate behavior, the court is not convinced that he can keep her safe and wouldn't willingly or unwittingly expose her to financial exploitation."
Wendy is fighting the guardianship, as she says she is in an assisted living facility, where she rarely is able to get outside. Wendy also says that no one can call her, and she's not allowed to have visitors, which she says makes her feel like a prisoner.
