Legal journalist Meghann Cuniff is catching backlash over her tweets surrounding A$AP Rocky's assault trial, which Cuniff believed the rapper would lose.

At one point, Cuniff responded to 50 Cent's Instagram post, which read, "I got ASAP beaten this case. I'll bet 500,000 on it, that boy ASAP Tellie was just trying to get some money. Fool said I was scared for my life so I sent back to the scene and picked up the shells. Officer told him hey if you want to get some money go to the hospital. Who want to bet."

Cuniff hopped in 50 Cent's comments, writing, "I'll take that bet." Social media users were quick to point out the journalist's tweets after A$AP Rocky was found not guilty on all counts in the trial. Some trolled Cuniff, stating that she better watch out for 50 Cent wanting to collect on the bet.

DJ Akademiks also posted footage of A$AP Rocky's attorney, Joe Tacopina, appearing to respond to Meghann saying that "the jury believed A$AP Rocky's fake gun defense was a lie, and they STILL ACQUITTED." Tacopina could be heard saying, "Meghann, the jury didn't think we were lying, huh?"
