According to AP News, Boosie, Rod Wave, and Kodak Black were listed among the attendees at the White House's event for Black History Month. Other attendees include Alveda King, Martin Luther King Jr.'s niece, and former NFL star and current Republican politician Herschel Walker.
Kodak Black has been a longtime supporter of Donald Trump after the president pardoned him during his first term. The Trump White House praised his philanthropic work after the pardon, stating, "Black is a prominent artist and community leader."
In recent months, Boosie has also reached out to Trump via Twitter to ask for a pardon after being recharged by the Biden administration for the same charges Hunter Biden was pardoned from. Boosie would go on to defend his decision to reach out to Trump, as he told his followers that he had also reached out to Joe Biden.
Boosie wrote, ""N ONE MORE THANG ‼️YALL SAYING I SHOULDNT ASK FOR A PARDON. SHUT THE F*** UP .IM GO KEEP ASKING . THIS MY LIFE . I ASKED BIDEN FOR ONE MONTHS AGO NOW IM ASKING TRUMP ‼️ WHERE IM FROM CLOSED MOUTHS DONT GET FED. MY CASE WAS ALREADY DISMISSED I DESERVE A PARDON."
