Van Lathan Responds to Kanye, Calls Him "The Slow Kid in the Black Community's Class"

Famed media personality Van Lathan went toe-to-toe with Kanye on Twitter after Ye reacted to a post saying that we need people like Van to check Kanye for saying "Free Diddy." Van famously confronted Kanye for saying "Slavery was a choice on TMZ in 2018. 

Kanye reacted to the post, writing, "I see past all of this. Always remember these n****s have jobs Go find a boss not an employee to speak up and even with them I’ll show how they serve their masters who are the people who invest in their companies Black people don’t control the black dollar When you don’t have money You don’t solely have power The only way to have any power when you don’t solely have money is to work as a group So no one n**** working on a TV show or a podcast can move me left or right Go get n****s to take time out they day and march against me or shut the f*** you you broke a** internet gangsters Suuuck myyy biiiig blaaaack n**** cock And I just made 17 million dollars 17 minutes ago And I made Graduation." 

Van responded and didn't mince words when it came to Kanye's remarks. He stated, "I’m glad you’re rich. It seems to be the only thing you care about. Money is dope you can do a lot of stuff with it. Sincerely. We need it, as a community. One thing that’s more valuable than money is people. I’m sure you’d agree no dollar amount can measure North’s laugh, I’m sure you’d go broke to bring your mother back. I would for my dad, who I lost in ‘21."

He added, "That seems to be what you don’t care about, anyone else. You’re trapped in an infant’s bubble, where you can be reckless and careless and people excuse it because of affection. We realize this, and try to ignore you, until the baby picks up something sharp like Nazism, domestic abuse, etc. then we gotta child proof things until you stop crying. You’re right about one thing, I am a slave to capitalism. We all are. Gotta work. But No one is more of a slave than the man who puts money over dignity. No one. So I’ll be a slave, and you be what you are, which is the slow kid in the Black community’s class. Keep eating boogers Kanye."
