Lil Meech took to Instagram on Sunday (March 23) to share photos of himself and his father, Big Meech, linking up with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather.
The post quickly sparked speculation among social media users, with many questioning whether it was a subtle response to 50 Cent, who has been taking repeated jabs at both Big Meech and Lil Meech on Instagram. Given Mayweather’s past history of feuding with 50, fans wondered if the meetup was meant to send a message.
While 50 Cent and Mayweather’s beef has cooled in recent years, their rivalry was once well-documented. In a 2022 interview with The Breakfast Club, 50 revealed that he and Mayweather squashed their feud after running into each other at a Mo’Nique comedy show in Las Vegas during Super Bowl weekend in 2021.
"He don’t need me, I don’t need him," 50 explained. "Me and him get into an argument, and it can go on for a lot longer because we don’t really need each other." He added that Mayweather later asked him, "What took so long?", and the two were able to put their differences aside.
Despite their reconciliation, some fans believe Lil Meech’s post hints at lingering tensions between his family and the G-Unit mogul.
