Kanye West took to Instagram on Monday night (February 24) to share a direct message that The Game had sent to Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles.
Ye kicked things off with a peeled banana emoji, captioning it, "Tear that monkey up." At first, fans were confused by the post, but it all started making sense when he later revealed a DM from The Game to Tina Knowles—featuring the same banana emoji. Ye followed up with a cryptic statement: "Game finna slide for the guys."
He then tied everything together by previewing The Game’s new track, TINA, which samples Knowles’ appearance in Jennifer Hudson’s Spirit Tunnel. On the song, The Game raps:
"I see my Destiny’s Child / DMing was stressing me out / Nervous, my stomach in knots / So I took a couple of shots."
Kanye jumps in with the line: "Miss, is you tricking or not."
The post comes as The Game gears up for his next album, The Documentary 3, which he credits Kanye for inspiring him to complete. Following Ye’s interview with Justin LaBoy, The Game wrote on Instagram, "Ye just gave me the vibe I needed to complete #TheDocumentary3 – Game Time."
