PARTYNEXTDOOR recently shared a snippet of a track on Instagram Live, where he appeared to take aim at incarcerated rapper Tory Lanez.
PND rapped on the song, "F*** what Tory Lanez say, you know the B, I’m running that / I did everything he did, oh he’s just a running man […] You said I sound like Young Thug, you know you sound like me […] One day, you’ll be me."
The OVO Sound artist continued his remarks on Live, stating, "I’m not y’all n**s’ friend. F* you talking ’bout, bro? Stop saying my name, n****."
The apparent diss left many fans confused, as PND and Tory have collaborated in the past. Additionally, Tory had recently shown support for him and Drake’s album, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, calling it "his best work of 2025."
However, PARTYNEXTDOOR later took to his Instagram Stories to apologize, writing, "I was told about what you said without hearing your video for myself. You didn’t say anything that I wouldn’t say myself. Now that I’ve seen it, I was wrong. City is stronger together."
