Boxing champion Claressa Shields recently sat down with Keke Palmer on her podcast to discuss her reign as the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. However, the conversation took a personal turn when Keke asked about Claressa’s highly publicized feud with Remy Ma.

The drama began when Remy Ma shared screenshots of texts between Claressa and Papoose, fueling rumors that the boxer was romantically involved with Remy’s estranged husband. In response, Claressa later told Jemele Hill that she would fight Remy for as little as a dollar—particularly after the rapper allegedly exposed her phone number in the leaked messages.

"At this point, you can give me a dollar and I’ll put my hands on her. It don’t got nothing to do with whatever else, it’s just that part alone… I’m a businesswoman, don’t leak my number. Why would you do that? Drama sells. I’m not in that beef. My smoke with her is posting my number. So, people like, ‘Oh, she wants to fight her over a dude’—stop it. That is so beneath me. It’s the disrespect of leaking my number part."

During her conversation with Keke, Claressa admitted she was just as shocked as everyone else when Remy posted the texts. She joked that “the internet is not a real place” and reflected on how she navigated the unexpected drama.

Despite the controversy, Claressa remains focused on her boxing career, making it clear that her issue with Remy has nothing to do with Papoose—only the public leak of her private information.
