Part 2: Swerve Strickland on Having Kids w/ Multiple Women: It Can Ruin A Lot of Men

--------

Pro wrestler Swerve Strickland recently shared insights into his journey from a military family to wrestling fame. Born in Tacoma, Washington, Strickland grew up in a military household; his father served in the Army, and his mother was also involved with service-related work. At just two months old, his family relocated to Germany, where he spent much of his early childhood before returning to the U.S.

Strickland described a mostly stable and nurturing home life, though his parents divorced when he was around ten. Despite a lenient upbringing, Strickland's mother had ambitious plans for him, pushing him to join the military right after high school graduation at 17. Strickland acknowledges it was his mother's way of keeping him focused, avoiding pitfalls his uncles faced as young adults. Later transitioning to wrestling, Strickland balanced his aspirations by attending college for drafting and design, highlighting a multifaceted career path intertwined with personal challenges, including military service and becoming a teen dad.
