Earlier this year, former NBA player Matt Barnes found himself at the center of controversy after his then-fiancée, model Anansa Sims, publicly accused him of infidelity. According to Anansa, Matt had allegedly been involved with at least eight different women—some of whom she claims he had been seeing for as long as six or seven years.

Taking to social media, Anansa shared a detailed list naming the alleged mistresses, which included reality TV personality Masika Kalysha and TV host Porsche Thomas. Alongside the names, she described how each woman was connected to Matt and how long the alleged affairs had lasted. She accompanied the post with a photo of herself and Matt, captioned: “Why Matt? 8 different women in January 💔.”

While speaking to author Jason Wilson on his podcast, Matt addressed the situation publicly for the first time. While he did not confirm or deny the allegations, he admitted that the relationship ended due to his emotional absence.

His comments prompted a sharp response from Anansa, who took to Instagram to accuse Matt of sharing a one-sided narrative.

"If you're going to talk publicly about our personal business, tell the whole story," she wrote. "Don't post half-truths about me and our past relationship to gain sympathy from the masses."
She continued, expressing frustration over his perceived lack of accountability and emotional support for their blended family.

"I'm in the trenches doing the hard work, making sure all of our kids are okay. You've made no effort to emotionally support them through this traumatic transition you caused. Yet you're willing to be ‘vulnerable’ for strangers on Instagram—for profit? Please, keep my name out of your mouth."

Anansa also hinted that she had kept quiet out of respect, despite having much more she could reveal about their relationship.

"Since I left, I've said nothing about you. And you know there's so much I could say about the man you truly were to me. If you don’t have respect for me or yourself, at least have respect for our children—who follow you and see your posts."

She closed her message by urging Matt to consider the emotional toll his actions and public statements have had on their children.

"Your post is triggering for the kids and me while we’re still healing and rebuilding. We’re the ones living with the damage caused by your selfish, toxic choices. You didn’t consider the kids before—please try to consider them now."

Her final plea: "If you want to do some good, stop speaking about me, go to therapy consistently, and most importantly, start building a relationship with God. Peace & Blessings."
