Part 2: Bloodhound Q50 on Getting Expelled in the 6th Grade for Shooting a Girl with a BB Gun
--------
Bloodhound Q50, a rising star in Chicago's rap scene, recently spoke about his journey, family ties, and personal upbringing. Growing up between Chicago and Gary, Indiana, Q50 had an unconventional path. Raised primarily by his grandmother, he experienced a nomadic childhood due to his mother's young age – she had him at just 16 or 17 while still in high school. Despite difficulties, he established a connection with his father around the age of 12, though it did not significantly impact him. He acknowledges missing a traditional father figure but emphasizes the importance of staying connected with family, especially his younger siblings and cousins. In particular, he shares a special bond with his cousin, Bloodhound Lil Jeff, whom he started linking up with as they matured and began establishing their career paths. Although once passionate about basketball, academic and behavior issues kept him from playing on his school's team.
