Bow Wow is currently on the road for The Millennium Tour, joined by a star-studded lineup that includes Trey Songz, Plies, Boosie, the Ying Yang Twins, Ray J, Sammie, Bobby V, Pleasure P, and Nivea. Omarion is also part of the tour, which has sparked renewed interest in his complicated relationship with Bow Wow.
During a recent appearance on Cam Newton’s Funky Friday Podcast, Bow Wow addressed rumors of tension between the two artists. He admitted that a past disagreement may have contributed to their current distance, calling their friendship “complicated.”
When Newton asked if he’d be open to sitting down with Omarion to clear the air, Bow Wow responded candidly, “I don’t want to talk. It’s nothing to talk about. Not even in a bad way, you know what I mean?”
He went on to explain that he had tried to be the bigger person in the past, but his efforts weren’t reciprocated, “When you extend your hand and try to be the bigger person and get no response, you’re just like, ‘Okay, well, we’re going to leave it right here, then. You do your thing, I’ll do mine. Let’s just keep the peace.’”
Despite the tension, Bow Wow was clear that there’s no animosity.
“It’s definitely not beef. We’re in the same buildings—we pass each other in arenas. We might not speak, yeah, but we walk past each other.”
On The Breakfast Club, co-host Loren Larosa revisited a moment that may have deepened the rift. After Omarion’s breakup with Apryl Jones, Bow Wow tweeted, “Let’s go knock some b###### bro. U single now. So many IG and AOD dancers out here waiting on you bro. We throwing you an ‘I just became single’ party.”
Omarion later addressed the tweet during an interview with The Breakfast Club, calling it disrespectful, stating, “I thought that was kind of wack. He didn’t really have any regard or respect for the position I was in. Whatever I was going through, you're supposed to support that.”
Omarion is now speaking out with his own statement to The Shade Room, which reads:
"Over the years, I’ve shared space, history, and energy with many in this industry—Bow Wow being one of them. Inviting him into the Millennium Tour Franchise was an extension of brotherhood and respect. It came from a place of love, legacy, and shared memories. To my knowledge, there is no ‘beef,’ no unresolved issues (unless there is one? ), no drama. I’m in a season where I honor what’s real, what’s reciprocal, and what uplifts the spirit."
He added, "We may cross paths and not exchange words—and that’s okay. I wish him well on his journey. I move forward with love, clarity, and truth. Thank you to everyone who came out to the Millennium Tour and made it a great success. Excitement and more great news to come! See you soon!”
