Future is continuing to pay tribute to longtime friend and collaborator Young Scooter following the rapper’s tragic death last month.
On Twitter, Future quoted a memorable line from their 2015 collaboration “Blow a Bag,” writing:
“Even when a🥷was broke Scooter was always there🦅.”
The tweet follows a heartfelt Instagram post shared by Future last week, where he wrote:
“Life will never b the same without u my brother. I love you my 🥷 this s* unreal 💔.”**
On Monday (April 7), Young Scooter was laid to rest during a funeral service in Atlanta, where friends, family, and fellow artists gathered to say their final goodbyes.
Scooter, whose real name was Kenneth Edward Bailey, died in a tragic accident on his 39th birthday. According to reports, he suffered a fatal injury after tearing his femoral artery while attempting to jump a fence. The incident occurred after police were dispatched to a residence in response to a false 911 call claiming a naked woman was being assaulted inside.
Authorities have since arrested 31-year-old Demetria Spence for making the false emergency call, which led to the chain of events that resulted in Scooter’s death.
Young Scooter was widely respected for his contributions to Atlanta’s rap scene and for his close ties to artists like Future, Gucci Mane, and Freebandz affiliates. His passing has left a noticeable void in the hip-hop community.
