Chicago rapper Rico Recklezz and his girlfriend, R&B star Summer Walker, recently went live on Instagram, and things quickly got tense as Rico launched into a heated rant about Kanye West.
Rico, never one to hold back, shared his unfiltered thoughts on Ye’s latest controversial Twitter spree. The rapper criticized Kanye’s recent behavior. But while Rico was ready to go all in, Summer was clearly not here for it.
Mid-sentence, Summer attempted to steer the conversation in a more neutral direction, gently urging her man to "move on" from the topic and even reading a fan comment to help shift gears. But Rico wasn't having it.
Ignoring her cues, he doubled down on his criticism of Kanye, saying, “Nah, I’ma get on Kanye, I don’t care. Somebody gotta say it!” As he continued throwing shots, Summer’s frustration became more visible. She tried again to calm things down, telling him to “stop” and to “just leave it alone,” but Rico stayed locked in.
Summer made it clear that she wanted no parts of the drama, especially considering how unpredictable Kanye’s responses can be. She expressed concern that dragging Kanye could backfire, especially if kids were dragged into the mess.
“I’d be pissed if somebody talked about my kids,” she said, seemingly referencing Kanye’s past remarks about Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s children, and subtly warning Rico not to cross a similar line.
It remains to be seen whether Kanye will catch wind of the clip and respond, but given his history of clapping back, fans are watching closely.
