Lil Nas X took to social media this week to reveal a recent health scare that landed him in the hospital. The rapper and pop star shared that he experienced partial facial paralysis, sparking concern among fans.
Posting a video to his Instagram Stories, Lil Nas X said, “This is me doing a full smile right now, by the way. Bro, I can't even laugh right.” Despite the alarming update, he tried to keep things lighthearted, telling followers, “Don’t be scared. Shake ur ass for me instead!”
In a follow-up post, he reassured fans once again, writing, “I’mma look funny for a lil bit but that’s it.”
Although he didn’t share an official diagnosis, speculation quickly spread online. Some fans suggested Lil Nas X may be dealing with Bell’s Palsy, a temporary nerve condition that causes weakness or paralysis on one side of the face. Others floated the possibility of Ramsay Hunt Syndrome—a rare neurological disorder linked to a shingles outbreak near the ear, which can also cause facial paralysis and hearing issues such as tinnitus.
As of now, Lil Nas X has not confirmed the exact cause of his symptoms, but fans continue to show support and send well wishes for a speedy recovery.
