Machine Gun Kelly is speaking out after finding himself excluded from a viral "White Rapper Mount Rushmore" graphic that’s been making waves online.
The image, which quickly circulated across social media platforms, depicted a reimagined Mount Rushmore featuring Eminem, Paul Wall, Russ, and the late Mac Miller—each carved into stone as one of the top white rappers in hip-hop history.
While Eminem’s placement drew near-universal agreement, the rest of the list sparked a heated debate. Paul Wall was praised for being a trailblazer in Southern rap, Mac Miller was celebrated for pushing artistic boundaries and inspiring a new generation, and Russ’s inclusion raised eyebrows—though fans pointed to his independent grind and lyrical prowess, particularly showcased in his CHOMP series.
Russ didn’t address the list directly but shared a fan post on X that read, “WHEN RUSS WANTS TO, HE CAN REALLY RAP BETTER THAN 99% OF THE GAME. THE CHOMP SERIES PROVES THAT.”
MGK, however, had no issue being direct. Taking to social media, the Mainstream Sellout rapper called foul on his omission, writing, “me not on the white rapper mt rushmore is blasphemy.”
Fans were split on his reaction—some argued that MGK deserved a spot based on his chart-topping success and genre-blending style, while others claimed his pivot to pop-punk in recent years weakened his rap credentials.
Regardless of the backlash, the post reignited a familiar hip-hop debate: what qualifies someone as “Mount Rushmore” material? Cultural impact? Lyrical ability? Commercial success? And is the list even complete without the likes of Action Bronson, Logic, or even Post Malone?
As the conversation continues online, one thing is clear—Machine Gun Kelly isn’t letting the snub slide quietly.
