Last month, Kanye West shocked fans and critics alike with a controversial tweet about Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s children, in which he claimed they were mentally disabled. The post was widely condemned and quickly deleted, but the backlash lingered.

Now, Kanye is speaking out about the tweet, offering a cryptic and self-aware explanation. In a recent post, he reflected on the reaction, writing:

“The Jay and Beyoncé r*****ed kids tweet was not funny. It was just funny that I actually tweeted it.”
He went on to acknowledge the instant regret and paranoia that followed, alluding to concerns over potential repercussions from social media platforms.

“You know when you tweet s*** and immediately look for more guns,” Ye added, seemingly referring to the fear of getting banned or facing backlash.

Kanye then made a puzzling comparison to Drake, referencing the Toronto rapper’s past secrecy around his son, which was exposed by Pusha T during their infamous 2018 feud.

“Isn’t it kind of like when Drake was hiding his child,” Ye wrote.

While it's not entirely clear what Kanye intended by the comparison, many interpreted it as an attempt to draw parallels between public scrutiny, personal exposure, and the consequences of revealing sensitive information.

As of now, neither Beyoncé nor Jay-Z has responded publicly to Kanye’s original tweet or his follow-up comments. Meanwhile, the internet continues to debate whether Kanye's remarks are a form of performance art, reckless provocation, or something in between.
