Rapper Real Boston Richey was taken into custody on Monday (April 14) after a judge ruled that he violated the terms of his bond in an ongoing federal drug conspiracy case.

According to XXL, the Florida native—who was originally arrested in 2024 and charged with marijuana trafficking—was released on bond under strict conditions, including travel restrictions. However, Judge Martin A. Fitzpatrick determined that Richey broke those terms when he traveled from Florida to Texas last month without prior authorization from the court.

As a result, Richey has been remanded to jail with no known release date at this time.

The legal trouble comes amid additional controversy surrounding the rapper. His former girlfriend, Tatiana Chanell, recently filed a police report alleging that Richey physically assaulted her. In her statement, she claims the rapper choked her approximately 20 times over the course of two hours, causing her to lose consciousness and vomit.

No formal charges related to the alleged assault have been confirmed at this time, but the accusations add another layer of legal and personal turmoil to Richey's situation.
