Recently released footage has surfaced from a 2024 incident involving Detroit rapper Cash Kidd, showing a physical altercation with a corrections officer inside the Macomb County Jail.
In the video, Cash Kidd — real name Marc Smith — appears combative, telling the officer to "put some bass in yo voice" during a verbal exchange. According to the officer’s account, Smith allegedly grabbed him and refused to let go, prompting several other corrections officers to intervene and break up the altercation.
At the time of the incident, Smith was being held on a charge of threatening a crime of violence. Authorities accused him of making threats toward two individuals and threatening property damage during a verbal dispute at a local business.
As of now, no further updates have been made public regarding the outcome of the case or whether additional charges were filed in connection to the jail altercation.
