NBA star DeMar DeRozan was at the center of a chaotic brawl at a Calabasas sushi restaurant on Friday night, an incident that was caught on video and quickly went viral.
According to early reports, the fight broke out at Yume Sushi around 10 p.m. after an unidentified man aggressively approached DeRozan, shoving a phone with a bright light in the athlete’s face. Witnesses say DeRozan knocked the phone away, which led to a physical altercation.
The confrontation escalated, with the man being knocked to the ground during the melee. TMZ reports that he was later transported to the hospital by ambulance. His current condition remains unknown.
