Megan Thee Stallion had a message for Slim Thug during her Coachella weekend two performance—and it wasn’t the one he was hoping for.
The Houston native performed to Mike Jones’ 2005 classic “Still Tippin’,” which features Slim Thug, but made sure to set the record straight before hitting the beat. “And no, Slim Thug, this don’t mean I want you. I just like your music, babe,” Megan told the crowd, drawing cheers and laughter.
Her comment came after Slim Thug previously reacted to her set on Instagram Live, interpreting her song selection as a sign of interest. “Did y’all see Thee Stallion dancing to ‘Thug From Around The Way’ and ‘Still Tippin’?’ If that ain’t a ‘Hey, I want you daddy’ call, I don’t know what is,” he said.
He continued: “So I’m just waiting on my day. I’m just waiting for her to come to Houston and hit my line—‘Hey, I’m in the town, pick me up.’ It’s only a matter of time at this point. I know she got a crush on me now, she just danced to two of my songs. I say I’m in there. What y’all think?”
Unfortunately for Slim Thug, Megan’s onstage response left little room for doubt: it’s all love for the music—but not like that.
