NFL fans were left stunned Thursday night (April 24) when star quarterback Shedeur Sanders went unselected in the first round of the NFL Draft.
The Tennessee Titans claimed Washington State standout Cam Ward as the No. 1 overall pick, leaving many speculating that Sanders will be snapped up early in the second round.
Speaking from a lavish draft party he hosted in Boulder, Sanders addressed the unexpected outcome with resilience and optimism.
“We didn’t expect this, of course,” he said. “But I believe that with God, anything’s possible. I don’t think this happened for no reason—it’s just more fuel to the fire. We all know this shouldn’t have happened, but we understand: we’re on to bigger and better things. Tomorrow’s the day. We’re going to be happy regardless. Legendary.”
