In a rare and candid interview with GQ, Young Thug opened up about the status of his friendship with fellow rapper Gunna, addressing public speculation that has followed them since their involvement in the high-profile YSL RICO case.

The conversation comes in the wake of accusations that Gunna cooperated with authorities after taking a plea deal and speaking in court—leading some to label him a "rat." Gunna, however, strongly denied those claims in a public statement, asserting:

“While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way.”

Now that Young Thug has been released on probation, fans are eager to know where the two artists stand.

When asked directly about their relationship, Thug responded, “Yeah, I know everybody wonderin’ that.”

Pressed further, he simply added, “I don’t know.”

The uncertainty left many questions unanswered, but the rapper’s brief remarks hint at the complexity of the situation and the emotional weight behind it.

Elsewhere in the interview, Young Thug also reflected on his past partnership with Rich Homie Quan during their time as part of the Rich Gang collective. Addressing their drift apart, Thug explained, “I think we just grew, and became our own bosses and men.”

Despite the split, he made it clear there was no bad blood on his end and that he would still be open to collaborating under the Rich Gang banner. According to Thug, it was Quan who opted to pursue solo ventures.
